FEES & ESTIMATES
QUESTION
HOW MUCH WILL MY CASE COST?
This is a perfectly reasonable question, but unfortunately, it is difficult to provide a precise answer without understanding the specifics of your case. Every situation is different, and there are various factors that could impact the amount of work involved. These factors can not only affect the time and resources needed but also influence the complexity of the process, which may ultimately increase the fee. Below are some key elements that can contribute to the overall cost of your case:
Health Issues
If you or any of your dependents have health concerns, this can complicate the case. Certain health conditions may require additional evidence or documentation to demonstrate the impact on your application or to address any specific legal implications. Health-related matters can increase the amount of time spent gathering medical records, expert opinions, and coordinating with healthcare providers.
Criminal or Security Issues
Any history of criminal activity, security concerns, or previous legal issues will require additional work to address. This may involve conducting thorough background checks, preparing additional legal documents, and possibly dealing with immigration, legal, or security clearances. These elements can significantly increase the complexity of the case and require more time and attention from legal professionals.
Previous Relationships
In cases involving prior marriages or relationships, additional documentation and verification may be required. For example, divorce decrees, separation agreements, or custody arrangements need to be reviewed and included as part of the application. These aspects can complicate the process and lead to more administrative and legal work.
Child Custody Matters
If your case involves children and there are ongoing custody disputes, this can also increase the complexity and work involved. Child custody cases often require additional legal steps to ensure the best interests of the child are considered. This may include working with child custody specialists, gathering court documents, or navigating potential conflicts between parties involved.
Other factors that can affect the cost of your case include the legal jurisdiction, complexity of the application process, and any additional services you may require, such as translation, expert testimonies, or the need for urgent processing. The more complex the case, the more resources will be needed to handle it, and therefore, the higher the fee may be.
It’s essential to discuss your unique circumstances with a legal professional to get a more accurate estimate of the costs involved. The initial consultation will allow the professional to assess the details of your case and provide a more tailored and realistic fee estimate.
ESTIMATES
Our firm operates on a “flat rate” basis, ensuring that clients are fully aware of the total cost before engaging our services. The estimate provided encompasses all associated fees, including any payments that may be required to third parties, such as the IRCC. To generate an accurate estimate, we require prospective clients to attend an Initial Consultation. This meeting serves as an opportunity for clients to ask questions and receive professional advice. It also allows the lawyer or consultant to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s circumstances, enabling them to provide more informed and thoughtful guidance.
INITIAL CONSULTATIONS
Our firm charges a fee for Initial Consultations. The fee is $350 for a consultation with a lawyer or $260 for a consultation with an immigration consultant. For an emergency consultation we charge $450. Each consultation lasts up to one hour and can be conducted either in person or by phone. For certain clients, the guidance provided during the Initial Consultation may be sufficient, allowing them to proceed independently. For clients who require further assistance, such as filing an application or pursuing an appeal, we will provide a comprehensive estimate of fees and disbursements. Please note that consultations are by appointment only, and we do not accommodate walk-in appointments.

Canada’s Express Entry program is one of the fastest pathways to permanent residency, typically processing applications within six months. Designed for highly skilled individuals, it offers a streamlined process for candidates who are young, highly educated, and have valuable work experience. However, securing an invitation to apply (ITA) through Express Entry can be competitive, as candidates need to achieve a high enough score on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) during federal draws.
